"First and foremost, we have to promote the good, honorable, ethical work that brokers/advisors/consultants do each and every day on behalf of millions of Americans facing healthcare and health insurance concerns.
We must establish our Association as an independent entity dedicated to advocacy. We have to increase our visibility to the public via PR promotion, a broader foray into mass media and communications and foster new, lasting relationships with governmental agencies, key staffers and politicians. We have to emphasize the importance of grassroot lobbying as a viable way to make our presence felt in statehouses across the country.
We must constantly provide value-added initiatives and compelling programming that our local and state chapters can use. We have to support local and state chapters financially, educationally and strategically."
